Excelerator Online System Makes Part Ordering Easy
“Excelerator Parts is an online parts ordering site that allows customers to order truck parts in a user-friendly way, with accuracy,” says Joe Budde, Sales Manager, Johnson Truck Center, a member of Indel Power Group. “It’s straightforward and convenient for customers.”
The site, authored by Daimler Trucks North America, is recently available through Johnson Truck Center. Budde encourages customers to sign up for an account and see how easy the ordering system is to use. Instead of waiting to speak with a parts associate, customers can look up what they need by VIN or part number, with the ability to view an enlarged diagram to visually identify and confirm the part that is needed.
“This will be very beneficial to customers. Past orders placed in Excelerator will be tracked in the system, so if it’s a common part that you order, you can view your order history and order the part again quickly. We’ll receive it, fill the order, and send the parts to you,” says Budde. “This is an efficient parts ordering system for anyone from fleet owners to independent truckers.”
There are more than 138,000 parts available to order, and nearly 200,000 images, helping the customer get the part they need. Each part has technical attributes and features listed. The enhanced VIN page allows customers to select their Freightliner or Western Star vehicle, engine, and major components and view specification details.
The Excelerator system lists real-time inventory, showing part availability at Johnson Truck Center locations. Orders are available for delivery and through pick up at the dealership.
“Excelerator is built for customer comfort, with ordering available 24/7. We’ve tried to make it as easy as possible. If you use a VIN number to search, the system will keep you on track showing you only parts that are tied to that asset,” says Shannon George, Digital Business Strategist, Daimler Trucks North America.
Through the site, customers with 500 or fewer vehicles can enroll in the Inner Circle Rewards program. This free program gives you easy access to great discounts and promotions each month. When you sign in, discounts will automatically appear in your cart. To register, contact a parts sales representative, or when you log in, click the link for Inner Circle Rewards in the main navigation. On your first visit, you’ll need to accept the program rules. After that, you’ll receive discounts on select parts when you order online.
“We’re constantly rolling out new enhancements to the system. There are great pictures and diagrams to assist in finding the right part,” says George. “We listen to the customer. There is customer support and training available. If you have a question or problem within the system, you can use the email feature to contact us, it’s monitored 12 hours a day.”
