Historically, medium-duty cabovers have been imported, cramped, no-frills delivery trucks modified by 3rd parties pretending to be work trucks…until Autocar® changed the game. We created a true factory-built vocational medium-duty cabover that operators can appreciate. Gone are the days of light duty hard to find imported components, and few if any custom options. Get used to custom vocational options, domestic components, smart ergonomics, and a roomier cab with safer ingress/egress.

No longer is there the need for third party modifiers to hack into electrical systems, HVAC, exhaust, brake, and/or steering systems. Autocar® invests in engineering tons of often needed vocational components and custom options and configurations so you get a truck delivered to you ready to work, as it was engineered and tested by the factory.

We use a true class 8 frame on your medium-duty cabover to ensure a long lasting, strong foundation for your truck in a rough environment. This means class 8, 120 KSI heat treated frame rails, 2.1 RBM frame rail strength, and 7 piece heavy duty crossmembers all go into the backbone of your truck.

With the tallest, widest, and deepest cab in the industry, we’ve got plenty of room for legs, knees, bellies, and “stuff.”
EFFORTLESS STEERING
We developed the Autocar® “Easy Steer” power steering system and paired it with our “wide track” front axle for the tightest turns with the most minimal effort we could possibly achieve. We also offer a factory designed and assembled dual steering gear – giving both driver sides the exact same system, including look, feel, and ergonomics.
ONE-SPOT CHECKS
Why make system and fluid checks difficult to locate? We positioned all major checks in one area of the vehicle – safely located on the curb side just behind the cab. We put it all in one spot and made it simple for operators and technicians to get to because it just makes sense.
100% DYNO TESTED
Our Customers deserve the most sophisticated technology available to ensure trucks arrive exactly to their custom specification, all systems operating, and ready to work. Each truck goes through our computerized Dyno test – a 40 minute step-by-step procedure which confirms specifications are per order and all systems are functioning as designed.
